LAGOS STAFF CHARGED ON QUALITY SERVICE DELIVERY

The Lagos State Commissioner, Ministry of Establishments, Training and Pensions, Dr. Akintola Benson-Oke has charged civil servants in the State Government employ to improve on their quality of service delivery to the citizens.

The Commissioner, who gave the charge at the Launching and Sensitization of Staff on Charter Document, stated that the re-launch of the document is with the view to refocus the commitment of staff towards operational efficiency and effectiveness in rendering quality service to its customers.

Akintola, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Office of Establishments and Training, Mrs Folasade Ogunnaike, noted that the charter document was launched in 2012 and was recently reviewed to improve quality service delivery to stakeholders using the drivers of Service Delivery terms, namely Service, Delivery, Information, Timelines, Professionalism and Staff attitude to visitors and stakeholders alike in relation to what is expected of them.

According to him, the Office of Establishments and Training is known for excellence in terms of development of result-oriented public service by providing an effective Human Resource Management Platform to achieve a virile Public Service.

The Commissioner therefore implored members of staff to be good ambassadors of the office in particular and Lagos State in general.

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Office of Establishments and Training, Mrs. Folasade Ogunnaike, commended the administration of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for his support and commitment to running an inclusive government where no one will be left out particularly in the training and re-training of public servants in line with the vision of the State Government to turn Lagos State to a Mega City and Global Economic and Financial Hub that is safe, secured, functional and productive.

The highlight of the event was the formal launch of the Service Charter Booklet by the Director General, Office of Transformation, Creativity and Innovation Mr. Toba Otusanya.
