Past Permanent Secretaries

MR. SENAYON ADEOLA HUNDEYIN-Permanent Secretary, CSPO

Born to the Family of Late Chief Bolaji Senu and Mrs. Dorcas Bolajoko on the 3rd June 1959, Mr. Senayon Adeola Hundeyin attended St. Thomas Primary School, Badagry and Ansar-ud-deen Primary School, Aiyepe, Ijebu between 1963 and 1968.

He attended Ansar-ud-deen College, Isolo between 1969 an 1973 and later proceeded to St. Gregory College, Lagos to obtain West African School Certificate and Higher School Certificate. He made Grade 1 in WASCE and flying grades in G.C.E Advance Level, between 1976 and 1980, he was at the University of Lagos where he obtained a B.sc Degree in Political Science; Second Class Upper Division, in 1980. He served in the NYSC Scheme in old Ondo State between August 1980 and June 1981. In January 1982, Mr. Hundeyin proceeded to the University of Ife; now known as the ObafemiAwolowo University (O.A.U), Ile-Ife, Osun State (Old Oyo State) where he successfully completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in International Relations.

He joined the Service of Lagos State University (LASU) Ojo in August 1984 as a pioneer staff, in the administrative cadre as Administrative Officer 11. He rose to the post of Senior Assistant Registrar in 1995. He also served briefly in Lagos State Polytechnic as a Senior Assistant Registrar and Private Secretary to the Rector between 1995 and 1996. Between 1996 and 1999, he served as principal Assistant Registrar in Lagos City Polytechnic, the first private Polytechnic in Nigeria.

Mr. Hundeyin returned to the Public Service of the Lagos State as an Assistant Chief Administrative Officer on 1stMarch 2000. Upon joining the Service, he served in the following capacities: Assistant Head of Legislative Matters Directorate and Head of Plenary, Lagos State House of Assembly; Chief Admin. Officer, Cabinet Office where he serviced meetings of the State Executive Council and Southern Governors’ Summit between 2002 and 2005.  Between June 2005 and April 2006, he served as the pioneer Head of Dealers Licensing Unit, Motor Vehicle Administration Agency (MVAA), Ministry of Transportation.

In April 2006, he was appointed as the Pioneer Agency Secretary of the newly created Lagos State Infrastructure Maintenance and Regulatory Agency (LASIMRA), where he rose to the position of Assistant Director. He was subsequently deployed to the Office of Special Adviser on Central Business Districts as Director, Finance and Administration in October 2010. In December 2012, he was deployed to the Judicial Service Commission as Director, Finance and Administration.

Mr. Senayon Adeola Hundeyin was appointed as a Permanent Secretary in the State Public Service, effective, 1st  August, 2016 and deployed to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

He is currently the Permanent Secretary, Civil Service Pensions Office.
