MR. RUFAI GANIU OLANREWAJU (DIRECTOR)
A reputable, seasoned Public Administrator, Mr. Rufai Ganiu Olanrewaju was an alumnus of the Universities of Lagos, Akoka and Ibadan, where he obtained both the Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Master in Public Administration respectively. He is a Member of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, Nigeria, (CIPM) and Nigeria Institute of Training and Development (NITD).
He presents over three decades practice experience in Public Service Administration of Lagos State. His work life started at the Lagos Waste Disposal Board now (Lagos State Waste Management Authority) as Personnel Officer II, 08 in 1985 and rose to the post of Assistance Chief Personnel Officer, 13 in 1996.
In 1999, he was deployed to Ministry of Youth and Social Development. His career progression in Public Service since then has seen him through other various government establishments in higher capacities at different levels of functions including the Civil Service Commission; the human resource agency of the state government.
Currently, Mr Rufai Olanrewaju is the Director, Administration and Human Resource at the Lagos State Civil Service Pensions Office where he coordinate and articulates the human resource capacity for efficient service delivery for prompt pension activities and payments to the delight of retires and within the context of vision of Lagos State.
MR. FASHOLA ABDUL- RAFIU OMOWOLE (DEPUTY DIRECTOR)
Fashola Abdul- Rafiu Omowole a well thought-of, experienced Public Administrator, is an alumnus of Lagos State University, Ojo; Lagos, where he obtained both the Bachelor of Arts and Master Degrees in Public Administration in 1989 and 2005 respectively. He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, Nigeria, (CIPM) and Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).
A quintessential administrator started his public career service in 1991 at Agege Local Government where he was employed as personnel Officer II GL. 08 from where he progressively rose through the ladder serving at different levels of functions in various local governments in the act of public services delivery to the people.
In 2003, he was appointed Personnel Manager /Council Manager due to his diligence to duty to Amuwo Odofin Local Government and later served in many local governments and local council development area offices in this capacity. These LGs and LCDAs included; Oshodi/Isolo Local Government in 2006, Ifako-Ijaye Local Government in 2009, Odi –Olowo LCDA in 2012, Ikorodu Local Government in 2015 and Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government in 2016.
PROFILE OF MR. HAKEEM BABATUNDE SARUMI
Mr. Hakeem Babatunde Sarumi was born in Lagos on October 26th 1960 at Ita Agarawu/ Idumagbo Area of Lagos Island. He joined the Lagos State Public Service as Information Officer II GL 08 in 1987 and later converted to Admin Officer I GL 09. He was at different times tour of duty in different ministries among which were Ministry of Information, Sports & Culture (as the Ministry of Information & Strategy was then known ) 1987-1997; Ministry of Establishments, Training and Pensions 1997-1998; Parastatals Monitoring Office 1988-2000, Lagos Television as Head of Admin while on GL 12-13. Ministry of Transportation, Motor Vehicle Administration Agency(MVAA) as Assistant Director where he was the Director in charge of Drivers License and later Dealer’s License. He had his second time stint in the Ministry of Establishments, Training and Pensions (Office of Establishments & Training) as Director of Training between August 2010- March 2013.
Mr. Sarumi was appointed Director, Finance & Administration (DFA) in the Ministry of Rural Development, Office of the Special Adviser, Position he held between April 2013 to January 2015. He attained the position of full- Fledge Director GL. 17 and was the Director, Admin & Human Resources (DAHR) from January 2015- September 2016 in the Office of Head of Service /Public Service Office (PSO). He later moved to Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), before his deployment to Civil Service Pensions Office in February 2017.
He presently heads the Pension Administration Department, Civil Service Pensions Office. In the course of duty, Mr. Sarumi at a time represented the Head of Service at the 2016 National Council on Establishments (NCE) at Mina, Niger State. He was a member, Centralised Personnel Management Board on Further Studies; Member, Secretariat of 7th Summit of Head of Service of the South West Geo- Political Zone; Chairman, Monitoring and Mentoring Team Known as the Implementation Working Group of the Human Resource Management Reform service wide.
Mr. Sarumi was instrumental to the actualization and ensuring that capitalized interest was –paid on revenue generated on Driver’s License as deposited with Guaranty Trust Bank; he also worked assiduously and led the successful effort which upgraded dealers License to a full- fledge department and multi- million naira revenue cash cow for the MVAA revenue jump from N34million to N114million was achieved in year 2009.
He is very hard working and an accomplished leader with over 30 years Public Service experience. A distinguished professional with excellent interpersonal/ communication skills, he enjoys challenges, goal oriented and able to motivate others to achieve high standards. He is focused on utilizing his current skill sets to contribute to the continued success of any organization.
Mr. Hakeem Babatunde Sarumi started his academic journey at Ansar-ud-deen Grammar School, Surulere where he obtained the West African School Certificate (WASCE) and later proceded to Anwar-ul –Islam College, Agege for his A levels. Mr. Sarumi graduated from the University of Lagos in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy. He is a Barrister at Law having obtained LLB from the Lagos State University in 1999 and was called to Bar in January 2001. Mr. Sarumi capped his academic journey with a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), in 2010. He is a member, Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM).
He is happily married with four children.
