A seasoned human resource management professional and consummate capacity building expert, Senukon Olufunmi Ajose-Harrison was an alumnus of the Universities of Lagos and Ibadan where he obtained both the Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Sociology and Master of Industrial and Labour Relations (MILR) respectively. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM). He is also a member of the Nigerian Industrial Relations Association (NIRA), the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) (NIM), the Nigerian Institute for Training and Development (NITAD) and the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria (IMCON).


He presents about three decades practice experience in Public Service capacity building, research, learning and development and corporate planning. His work life started at the Ministry of Social Development, Youth and Sports, Oyo State as a Principal Youth Development Officer from 1982 to 1989, he left to join the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), where he cut his professional and practice teeth in learning and development, organisational development and research.

In 1997, he joined the services of the Lagos State Government as pioneer Head of Planning and Research at the Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC) Magodo. He rose through the ranks and became Director of Planning and Research providing leadership for the Centre’s corporate planning and research including training needs analysis, post-training impact assessments and publications, until his appointment as Acting Director-General by the State Government in May 2017.


In his new capacity, Ajose-Harrison provides strategic leadership for PSSDC’s professionalism for continued currency, relevance and impact within the context of the vision of Lagos State through needs-based learning and development initiatives and other capacity building interventions to the realisation of the goals of the State Government.

He consults for top rated organizations and professional bodies including the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), the Centre for Management Development (CMD), the Nigerian Institute for Training and Development (NITAD) and the Nigerian Employers Consultative Association (NECA) and has several publications in local and international professional journals.


He is married and the marriage is blessed with children.
